Banquette vs Perfect Venue: private dining software, compared
Checked against public sources on September 15, 2026.
Perfect Venue is self-serve private event software with published prices, a free trial, an AI assistant, a consumer marketplace, online payments and a long list of integrations; Banquette is the Perfect Venue alternative for houses where the kitchen leads the party, with two-chef menu approval, a private RSVP page for every guest and a print-first kitchen sheet.
Perfect Venue’s help center calls the person who books the event the “guest”; here that is the client, Banquette’s host.
- Perfect Venue publishes its prices on its own pricing page, billed monthly or annually per location; Enterprise is by quote.
- Payments run through Stripe or Square; Stripe’s default card rate is 2.9% + 30¢, and ACH is available on Premium plans only.
- Banquette is Solo at $249/month or House at $499/month, flat per property, after a founder-led tour.
- Perfect Venue has a free trial, an AI assistant, a marketplace, online payments and integrations. Banquette has none of these.
- Banquette’s case is the kitchen: two different chefs sign the menu, each guest RSVPs with a dietary note the host never sees, and the kitchen works from a printed sheet.

Where is Perfect Venue stronger?
- Published pricing and an easy start. Published self-serve pricing, a 14-day free trial with no credit card, a “Risk-free 30 day money back guarantee”, and software its features page says needs little to no training.
- An AI assistant. Its homepage says its AI “sends messages, builds proposals, and gets you paid”.
- New business. A free listing on the Perfect Venue Marketplace, where people find and book venues for private events, and Express Book, which lets a prospective client check availability, choose menu items and pay a deposit; the venue accepts or declines within a window it sets: instant, 24, 48 or 72 hours.
- Online payments. Stripe or Square, with ACH on Premium; the client pays the final bill by card through a guest portal, where they can edit the gratuity.
- Integrations. Its help center documents Google and Outlook calendars, Tock, BentoBox, 7shifts, Zapier, Eventbrite, PartySlate, Prismm and The Knot/WeddingWire, among others.
- Breadth. Industry pages for bars, breweries, wineries, caterers, hotels and event venues; an iOS app for staff; real-time event analytics; and white-glove setup that migrates existing events.
- Reputation. On Capterra it rates 4.8 out of 5 across 82 reviews, with praise for ease of use and responsive support.
Why choose Banquette as a Perfect Venue alternative?
Banquette was built inside a working restaurant, around the part of the party the kitchen owns.
Two different chefs sign the menu
A party’s menu is sellable only once two different chefs have signed it. Each signature is tied to a fingerprint of the courses, so changing a course voids them. A party’s first contract will not send until its menu carries both signatures (a party with no menu yet can still be sent). Perfect Venue’s menu help article covers pricing, choices and add-ons, and describes no chef sign-off. Read how two-chef menu approval works.
Every guest answers for themselves
Each guest answers on a private RSVP page of their own: yes or no, how many seats, and one note under “Anything the kitchen should know”. No account, no password. The host sees only that a guest told the kitchen, never the words. Perfect Venue documents no attendee RSVP flow. See guest RSVP pages with private dietary notes.
The kitchen cooks from paper
The kitchen sheet prints from the live book: each party’s menu, the count to cook to (the guarantee once the office locks it, the expected count until then) and every guest’s dietary note, with ruled lines for the pen. Each party also has a printable banquet event order (BEO). Perfect Venue’s own blog says it generates BEOs automatically and offers a kitchen download without finances; on Enterprise, Custom Documents adds a Chef BEO template. More on Banquette’s BEOs and kitchen sheets.
The host needs no account
The host signs on a private page by typing their name, and follows the evening, the order, the guest list and the invoice there. The GM or events manager countersigns, on every plan. Perfect Venue stores the signed agreement with a timestamp; venue countersigning is Enterprise-only, and its docs don’t say whether the client needs an account. See the host’s private page.

What Banquette doesn’t do (yet)
- No card processing, online payments or payment receipts.
- No integrations: no POS, accounting, CRM, reservation platform or Gmail/Outlook sending. The calendar is a one-way feed to staff phones.
- No AI, marketplace listing, self-serve sign-up or free trial.
- No native app; Banquette is a responsive web app.
- No numbered invoices, versioned BEOs, per-guest meal choice or guest-to-table seating.
- E-signature is built in (a typed name, a hash of the terms and an evidence record), not a third-party signing service.
- Moving in means a Daily Events Report export (spreadsheet or PDF), brought in by us during onboarding.
Which should you choose?
Choose Perfect Venue if a free trial, online deposits, marketplace leads and integrations matter most, and weigh its published prices on its own page.
Choose Banquette if two chefs should sign a party’s menu before its contract goes out, if each guest’s allergy has to reach the line without passing through a spreadsheet, and if the kitchen works from paper. See private dining for restaurants, events at golf and country clubs or every Banquette comparison.
